Extension in North Colchester

A large single-story extension with ground floor alterations in Colchester. We initially had a deeper dig & fill for the foundations due to the proximity of trees and clay soil we then had further complex requirements with regards to the large structural steels which spanned across the whole of the rear. Once completed we could really gather the pace allowing for two generous bifold doors and velux windows allowing plenty of light whilst opening up the existing portion of the house creating a large kitchen/diner/living area. The project was completed with a fantastic new kitchen with a brick slip feature wall, underfloor heating and matching ceramic tiles inside and out.

Highwoods Extension

A single-story extension in Colchester with glazed flat roof window, box window and sliding aluminium doors. This lovely extension was constructed by removing the existing external wall which created a nicely sized kitchen/diner, this allowed light from the new build to flood through the downstairs areas. Kitchen units were added along with a central Island and a brick slip feature wall, this along with raised outside landscapes gave a lovely flow throughout creating a fantastic new Extended Space.

Eight Ash Green Extension

A full renovation to a bungalow in Eight Ash Green in Colchester which included a large rear extension and loft conversion. This project involved stripping away the existing roof timbers to allow for attic trusses which gained the client 2 extra bedrooms with ensuites. There was a full refurbishment of the mechanical & electrical services with underfloor heating added to the ground floor and replastered throughout. The external finishes allowed for a lovely contemporary look using white render and western red cedar timber cladding, finished with grey UPVC windows, facia & soffits.

Stanway Loft Extension

A huge new sleeping area was created in this loft conversion in Stanway creating two new bedrooms and two en-suites. We removed the existing trusses and added a new hand cut roof once a large structural steel was put in place along the ridge. Our carpenters were really pushed in terms of setting out precisely the positions of new dormers to allow for internal door openings to match, whilst also considering head height throughout once insulation was fixed.  A new staircase was added directly above the existing, with plenty of new bespoke cupboards added throughout. A very complex build but very satisfying once completed.
